Benton Harbor/St. Joseph, Michigan ~ The Cornerstone Alliance/The Edgewater Development ~ These two cities are immediately adjacent to each other, but completely divided by the St. Joseph River. In an effort to bring the communities closer together, this non-profit organization engaged Partners Development to create The Edgewater Development, a mixed-use development on both sides of the river that will act as a physical and psychological "bridge" for the citizens. The development will feature residential, retail, commercial, recreational, and educational elements, all in a parkland environment. Partners prepared and submitted a market analysis study, with final presentation of the materials made in mid-September 2002. A determination is anticipated soon regarding the next steps.
