The challenge was great: how to create an environment within the city limits that was isolated, yet accessible; functional as an in-patient medical facility without looking like one; and adaptable for other purposes as the client's needs changed.
With the development of this mountaintop facility located within three miles of the most populated area of the city, Partners Development solved all three requirements. Since its opening, this center has been used by its healthcare provider/owner as a licensed K-12 school and treatment center for substance abuse, psychiatric hospitals, training for expectant mothers, and others in need of in-patient and long term therapies and care. For the healthcare professional, its design is very efficient and functional; for the resident, its architectural style tends to give the individual a feeling of a home rather than an institution.
